Canggu or Ubud?

The two hubs feel like different holidays. Canggu, on the south-west coast, is the surf-and-café belt: black-sand beaches, sunset bars, design shops, and a young, social energy. Ubud, inland and uphill, is the jungle-and-rice-terrace counterpoint — cooler air, yoga and wellness, river-valley villas, and a slower, more contemplative pace. Practicalities
