Data We Collect

We may collect:

• Your name and email address if you subscribe to our newsletter or contact us
• Usage data via Google Analytics 4, which runs in Google Consent Mode: cookieless until you choose Accept, with analytics cookies only after you accept
• IP addresses in server logs, retained for 30 days for security purposes

Legal Basis (GDPR)

We process personal data under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent) for newsletter subscriptions and for any cookies set after you choose Accept, and Article 6(1)(f) (legitimate interests) for security logging. We comply with the Norwegian Personal Data Act (personopplysningsloven).

Cookies

When you first visit, a banner asks you to accept or reject cookies. Your choice is saved in your browser's local storage so we do not ask again; clear this site's data in your browser to choose again. Before you choose Accept, and if you choose Reject, none of our analytics, affiliate or advertising tags sets a cookie on your device.

We use Google Analytics 4, provided by Google, to count visits and clicks on our partner links. It runs in Google Consent Mode for every visitor: until you accept, it sends cookieless measurement pings and stores no identifiers on your device. Only after you choose Accept does it set its own cookies (such as _ga) to recognise returning visits.

Affiliate Tracking

Many links on this site are affiliate links. They pass through our /go/ redirect to partners reached via the affiliate networks Travelpayouts, CJ (Commission Junction), Rakuten Advertising, Impact, Partnerize, Awin and Tradedoubler, or via a travel company's own affiliate programme. When you click one, the network and the partner may set cookies on their own websites to credit the referral to us; we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Those cookies are governed by their own privacy policies. Only if you choose Accept do we also load the CJ, Impact, Partnerize, Rakuten Advertising and Travelpayouts scripts on this site, which may set attribution cookies. The Travelpayouts script may also load third-party advertising technology, including Google's.

Advertising and Google AdSense

This site may show advertising served by Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.
