Dassault's Falcon 10X entered service in 2024 with the widest cabin of any purpose-built business jet. In a market dominated by Gulfstream and Bombardier, the French have built something that deserves serious consideration.
The Falcon 10X sits at the apex of Dassault's product line: an ultra-long-range jet with a range of 7,500 nautical miles and a cabin width of 2.58 metres — 20 centimetres wider than its nearest competitor. In practice, this translates to a cabin that feels genuinely spacious rather than impressively spacious, which is a distinction worth paying for.
The Cabin
Dassault engages RAS and Alberto Pinto as standard interior partners; owners may specify alternatives. The floor-to-ceiling windows — the largest in the class — make the width feel even greater than measurement suggests. The galley is a serious kitchen, not a warming drawer: the 10X is designed for 16-hour flights, and the catering reflects that.
“Where Gulfstream builds cockpits with cabins attached, Dassault builds cabins with cockpits attached. The priorities are different. So is the result.”
